SERVE

IN THE COMMUNITY

Two Ways to Get Involved!

All of our partner ministries serve the local community in valuable, tangible ways. By volunteering with any of these organizations, you can meet these specific needs while furthering our mission at Gospel Community Church to make disciples who make disciples of Jesus Christ!

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get plugged in as a volunteer. There are two ways to get involved! Contact Peter Vukovich for general information, or if you already know which ministry you’d like to volunteer with, scroll down to find the appropriate contact information to start today.

Get started the easy way...

If you’re not sure where to start, contact Peter at (574)-312-1611. He can provide general information about all of our local partnerships and help you decide which one is right for you.

Downtown Ministries serves the city of Goshen and Elkhart County by providing programs to meet the needs of struggling individuals and families. They teach people how to get a job (and keep it), provide mentoring relationships, offer transitional housing for women and children, and help individuals find resources for mental health and addition struggles.  The Downtown Ministries team does all of this while supporting, encouraging, and praying for the people they serve! There are opportunities to serve at Downtown Ministries as a volunteer ranging from mentorship to maintenance and auto repair.  Contact Matt Vukovich (matt@mattbuysindianahouses.com) to learn how you can serve!

The Brookside Food Drive is held the third Thursday of every month from 4-6PM at Brookside Manor (across the street from the church). Gymntown Pantry generously provides the food for Brookside shoppers. Now we have the opportunity to get to know Brookside residents better by walking with them as they shop. Volunteers can help shoppers make selections, load food into their carts, and talk with them! Text Peter Vukovich (574-312-1611) to sign up!

Faith Mission is a Christian social service agency that provides food, shelter, clothing, and other services for homeless individuals in Michiana. They are the only emergency facility in Elkhart County where shelter, meals, clothing, and programs are provided all in one place. Contact Martha Ekstrom to learn more.

Ribbon of Hope is a cancer-support ministry that offers encouragement, support, hope, and prayer through Jesus Christ. They provide a variety of practical services to assist patients and family members, with the primary focus of caring for the spiritual and emotional needs of the patient. Contact Sean Fox (sean@mygospelcc.org) to find out how you can get involved!

Gymtown Pantry provides food for individuals and families in need in Jimtown, Osceola, Elkhart and beyond.  With the help of faithful and amazing volunteers who sort, pack and deliver food, they bring thousands of pounds each year to those in need. Serve with Gymtown Pantry by packing or delivering their food boxes to homes within our community! Text or call Julius Graber (574-612-1213) to get started.

BBQs at Brookside offer Brookside Manor residents free food and games from 12:30-1:30 every Sunday afternoon, May 31st to September 6th. GCC attendees are invited to come, fellowship, and build relationships with our neighbors across the road. Text Peter Vukovich (574-312-1611) to sign up!

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.

Not sure where to start?

We understand!

The simplest way to get involved is to contact Peter and find out where your time and talents can best serve our community.
